Step by step how to use U-Pins

U-pins or a easy way to hold your up-dos's. Bobby pins either slide out or you needs hundreds of them. With the U-pin or hair pin as they are sometimes called you can secure all of your hair with only one or two pins.


Lilla Rose U-pins come in many different styles and designs. Whether you have a Lilla Rose U-pin or hairpins from other sources the instructions below will guide you on how to use your U-pins.



Full Bun with a Acrylic U-pin

  1. Twist hair into bun

  2. Insert tips of U-pin at edge of bun with back of curve toward bun

  3. Allow tips to touch the head

  4. Flip U-pin over so curve follows shape of head

  5. Slide U-pin into bun catching hair as you go.

French Twist with Decorative U-pins

  1. Twist hair up creating a roll

  2. Flips ends down and tuck into twist

  3. Insert tip of u-pin at edge of twist with back of curve toward twist, allow tips to touch the head

  4. Flip u-pin over so curve follow shape of head

  5. Slide u-pin into twist catching hair as you go. Repeat Steps 3-5

  1. Twist up hair leaving ends out

  2. Insert tips of Swerve at edge of twist with back of curve toward head

  3. Allow tips to touch the head

  4. Flip Swerve over so curve follows shape of head

  5. Slide Swerve into twist catching hair as you go
